Update 4 (Extracts and Music)
These two weeks have been intense, many new features and changes were added to the game. I'd say the most notable is the fact that the game changed from being a 15 minute challenge to brew the potion of life it will now take you about 2 hours or even more to finally brew it.
The game is definitely quite the challenge and it might be a little too difficult. Together with your awesome feedback I hope to improve the balance of the game in the upcoming updates.
Extracts
Extracts completely change the way we have been brewing potions. Up until now you would simply collect some ingredients, throw them into a pot, and cook them properly until they become potions. This is no longer the case, brewing potions is slowly becoming a quite intricate art. For some potions you can simply take a bit of a single extract in a jug or flask in order to use them. Other potions require multiple ingredients and extract with varying ratios and we didn't start talking about the fact there some extracts are cook from 3 - 9 precursor extracts.
Planting
As you progress with in your potion brewing journey you will discover sooner or later that you are in a risk of deforestation. This means that you might end up running out of ingredients. Alternatively, you might begin feeling annoying for having to run all around the place looking for a couple of pieces of chard. This is no longer a threat as you can brew special potions allowing you to grow new patches, bushes, and trees.
Special Potions
Are you waiting too long until your plant matures? The Accelerate potion is just for that allowing you to speed up your plant's growth by 2-4 times.
Too much water in the pot? The Evaporate I Potion will help you with 8 Water Units at a time. If your skilled enough you can brew the Evaporate II Potion which will clear 128 Water Units out of your pot.
Did I mention that preservatives are relevant now more then ever? You got there types of preserve potions allowing you to keep your potion fresh for up to 2/4/8 minutes.
Sound Effects
Another big change you may have noticed while playing is the addition of sound.
Walking, grabbing & dropping, opening and closing UI menus, drawing & pouring water, and drinking water all feel much better with the added sound effects. When your fireplace is burning you will hear a pleasant crackling sound. Best of all there is now some nice background music making the PotionMeister ever more immersive.
In the new Sound Settings menu you can mute all sounds or change the volume of the Music and Sound Effects independently. The Sound Settings menu also features a small credit list - all the amazing people who provided these nice sound effects free of charge.
Bugfixes
There were quite a bugfixes. One of them is the stove not working after save and load bug.
